Class Rules
|
 |
|
We will be racing a number of different classes at the track, and the following is a synposis of the rules for each of the different classes
that we will be racing. If you wish to race a class that is NOT listed here, please let us know and we can consider adding it to our program.
Also note that we will NOT run all classes on the same race days. Our current schedule splits up 2WD and 4WD classes to run on separate days.
Please check the Race Calendar to be 100% sure what classes are racing on each race day.

Novice
|
 |
|
The Novice class is basically the entry level class for new racers to the race track. If you have not raced before, this is the
class you should probably start out in. Most Ready To Run vehicles will be well equipped to race in this class, and you can
run any vehicle, body style and tires provided the vehicle is a 1/10th scale electric off-road vehicle. The rules for this class are:
- Chassis: Any 1/10 scale electric off-road vehicle.
- Motor: 27T brushed motors, or 17.5T to 21.5T brushless motors. 21.5T is highly recommended for Novices.
- Batteries: 6-cell NiMH batteries, or 2-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries
- Tires: Any tires are allowed.
- Bodies: Any body style is allowed.
- Minimum Weight: None.

The Modified 2WD Buggy is a great class for intermediate to advanced racers who wish to be able to run any motor combination.
This class will be the most popular 2WD buggy class, and going fast in the modified class is all about having a smooth trigger
finger! The rules for this class are:
- Chassis: Any off-road 2-wheel drive buggy style chassis.
- Motor: Any brushless motor. Generally this class will be 13.5T motors and lower.
- Batteries: 6-cell NiMH batteries, or 2-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries
- Tires: Any ROAR legal wheel with rubber tires is allowed in this class.
- Bodies: Any 2WD buggy body that is ROAR legal.
- Minimum Weight: 1500 grams.

Modified 4WD Buggy
|
 |
|
The Modified 4WD Buggy is a great class for intermediate to advanced racers who wish to run 4-wheel drive buggies for higher
performance. For the most part 4WD buggies are easier to drive for beginners than 2WD buggies.
Going fast in the modified class is all about having a smooth trigger finger! The rules for this class are:
- Chassis: Any off-road 4-wheel drive buggy style chassis.
- Motor: Any brushless motor. Generally this class will be 10.5T motors and lower.
- Batteries: 6-cell NiMH batteries, or 2-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries
- Tires: Any ROAR legal wheel with rubber tires is allowed in this class.
- Bodies: Any 4WD buggy body that is ROAR legal.

Open 2WD Short Course Truck
|
 |
|
The Open 2WD Short Course Truck class is a great class for both intermediate and advanced racers alike, and offers very realistic
looking vehicles. Many racers will find they can turn faster lap times in with 13.5T Super Stock motors than they can with
higher powered modified motors. If you are relatively new to off-road racing, you should consider running this class and sticking to
a 13.5T brushless motor. The rules for this class are:
- Chassis: Any off-road 2-wheel drive Short Course Truck style chassis.
- Motor: Any brushless motor. Generally this class will be 10.5T motors and lower.
- Batteries: 6-cell NiMH batteries, or 2-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries
- Tires: Any rubber tire/wheel designed specifically for short course trucks is allowed in this class. 1/8 Buggy tires are NOT allowed!

Open 4WD 1/8 Scale Electric Buggy
|
 |
|
The Open 4WD 1/8 Scale Electric Buggy class is a great class for expert racers. This is not a class for for new comers! You need to be a good
racer to race this class, as the cars are big and heavy and can do damage if you hit someone. If you race this class and we feel your driving
is not good enough, you might be asked to not race that class until you improve. But otherwise, this is a super fun class for the expert driver!
The rules for this class are:
- Chassis: Any off-road 1/8 Buggy electric chassis (conversions welcome).
- Motor: Any brushless 1/8 scale motor. We recommend 1700KV and lower motors for our track. 1400KV is just about perfect with the right gearing.
- Batteries: 3-cell or 4-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries only.
- Tires: Any rubber tire/wheel designed specifically for 1/8 buggies is allowed in this class.
- Bodies: Any 1/8 scale buggy style body.
- Minimum Weight: None.
